[성년례/Coming of Age] 술의 교훈 / Lesson about alcohol

   술은 향기로운 것일세. 그래서 우리나라의 모든 의식에 쓰는 것일세. 그러나 많이 마시면 정신이 혼미하고 몸을 바르게 가눌 수 없게 되네. 그러므로 술은 조심스럽게 마셔야 하네. 이제 먼저 천지신명에게 다짐하고 천천히 마시게.

Alcohol is a fragrant thing. That's why it's used in all our ceremonies. But if you drink too much of it, your mind becomes confused and you lose control of your body. Therefore, you must drink carefully. Now, first make a vow to the gods of heaven and earth and drink slowly.
